The trio of heroes realize that Isabel is being held captive, and confront Rosabel who then summons her pet dragon to take care of the trio. This becomes more evident as you venture through the land and see a myriad of overgrown vegetation, out of control plant-life, and a water source that causes things to grow almost instantly. Invited to a secret hiding place where they used to play as children, she is imprisoned by Rosabel, and is held captive by a magical tree which causes a great amount of imbalance in the kingdom. On her birthday, Isabel is invited to a 'suprise party' by her sister. Rosabel grew with anger as her sister claimed a majority of the attention, and became jealous and vengeful. They begin with the sisters at ages 8 and 9 respectively, and as the stories progress into their later years it's made clear that Isabel received more attention, nicer gifts, and was eventually crowned as the Queen.

Through a series of book entries, looted poems and narrative, a story of two sisters, Rosabel and Isabel, unfolds.
The heroes agree to assist her, and slowly progress toward a once glamorous castle which is now taken over by the goblins, where the Goblin King (not David Bowie) now resides. The three brave heroes slowly discover the path out of this mysterious place while a figure (titled "The Witch" by the goblins) is observing their progress.Įventually the mysterious figure reveals herself to be the Crown Princess Rosabel and asks the heroes to help her get rid of the nasties who have overrun the kingdom. The Trine takes each of these characters to a mysterious place that they have never heard of or seen before.
